Perfect for a busy life!
The meat mixture can be made ahead of time, and will save in the fridge for a few days, so you can cook the meat whenever you are ready for it in whatever quantity you want. You can also pair it with whatever vegetables you already have, so it’s a great way to level up your fridge clean out.
Ingredients:
Beef Mixture
1lb ground beef (80/20 ideally, but leaner meat will still work if you are on your grind right now)
1/2 yellow onion finely diced
1 raw egg (don’t use the shell - just the inside)
3/4 cup panko bread crumbs
2 tbsp flour
2 tbsp zataar
3 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
some fresh black pepper (follow your heart on this one)
Add chili flakes if you want some spice (or don’t that’s cool too).
For the Wraps
Pita bread, or your favorite wrap, tortilla, lettuce, or even a bowl of rice
Any vegetables you like, but I used Tomato, Red onion, and Lettuce
Your favorite sauce! I made tzatziki sauce.
Recipe:
Combine all of the beef mixture ingredients in a large bowl, and mix well.
When you are ready to eat, shape the meat based on your cooking method. Small chicken nugget shaped patties work well if you are cooking in a pan, or if you have skewers, you can shape the meat into logs around the skewer.
Cook the meat until it’s fully cooked. The bread and egg in the mixture will help absorb moisture and keep the meat juicy even if you “overcook” it, so it is a pretty forgiving recipe. I know mine are done when they get a nice crust on the outside.
Serve the meat in a wrap, or rice bowl with whatever vegetables you have and your favorite sauce!

chef Tyler is my favorite food YouTuber because he makes good jokes. But I personally favor using the egg shells for that extra crunch and texture. 👍👍👍
Beautiful recipe, Tyler, I'll definitely try it. You're the best
